We put a piece of paper on the sidewalk and then dipped small plastic bowling balls (pretend coconuts) in paint and rolled them down the sidewalk to paint. We had some unusual murals when the children were finished. While waiting our turn to paint, we used chalk on the sidewalk, played hopscotch, and drew on a piece of paper.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Chicka Chicka 123 this week. Since the alphabet climbs a coconut tree, we did activities that involved coconuts. We actually examined a coconut, sampled coconut milk, and tasted fresh coconut. The children did not like the fresh coconut or coconut milk.
