Bread and Butter

The preschool students have been learning about the letter B.  Today, they made home made bread and butter.  The bread and butter will be their snack tomorrow. We made the bread in a gallon freezer bag.  You don't have any messy dishes this way--just throw the dirty bag away.  We made the bread with whole wheat flour instead of white flour and it smells so good in our room.  The children should bring the recipe home today.

Fall is Here! We love it!

To conclude our unit on fall, we made leaf crowns.  It doesn't feel like fall outside yet, but the weather person is predicting cold weather this weekend.  We are now studying about hibernation.  The children discovered today that reptiles, bears, and bats hibernate.

Fall is Here?

The preschool students started a unit on fall today.  We went on a fall leaf hunt.  The weather is so unusual this year.  The leaves are still green and on the trees.  We did manage to find some leaves and tomorrow we will create leaf creatures and write stories about them.  Students worked in teams of two to collect the leaves.  Partners each held an end of a rhythm stick so that they wouldn't lose their partners.
