Snowballs and Christmas Parties

The children (and adults) enjoyed the last day of class before the Christmas break.  We read stories about the Gingerbread Man and a Gingerbread Baby.  We brought a Gingerbread Man to school and left him on the table before we went to recess.  When we came back, the man was gone and we found a note saying that he didn't want to be eaten for snack and that he ran away.  We hunted many places in the main building, our portable, and finally found him in the central office building.    We came back to the classroom and had an indoor snowball fight.  We opened gifts and then had our parties.  The children left tired, happy, and ready for the break.

Messy Wednesday

Getting messy can be so much fun.  Mrs. High painted both feet on the children and then made a "mistle-toe" picture.  We had lots of giggles over the feet painting.  We also had ceramics donated so the children painted them.  They really enjoyed painting--and the mess.

Painting ceramic snowmen is such fun!
