Snowy Day Soup

The plan for today was to read the book, Soup Day, and then make snowy day soup.  The AM Preschool class was cancelled so the afternoon class still made snowy day soup.  The morning class will make the soup next week.  The soup has vegetables from the vegetable group and rainbow Rotini from the grain group.

Celery, carrots, and onions are saute`d.  Now we get to add the veggies and chicken stock.

After we wash our hands and put on gloves, we finally get to cook.

Those gloves are hard to get on.

We are waiting for our soup to cook.  We are discussing and sorting pictures into the different food groups.

We are coloring our books about different food groups.
