Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Where's my Pumpkin?

The afternoon kids enjoyed their pumpkin patch visit.  They were tired when we sent them home.  They had fun bouncing the ghosts on the parachute and racing with a pumpkin on a spoon.  We had a couple of kids worry that they didn't do any work today (we didn't do table time learning groups).  Little did they know, that the games we played had learning attached.  They had to find the pumpkin with their name on it (name recognition).  We counted how many times the ghosts stayed on the parachute.  They practiced balance and turn taking with the pumpkin on a spoon game.  They learned a lot today even though they "just had fun."

Morning Pumpkin Patch

The morning children enjoyed finding a pumpkin to take home and playing Halloween games.  They raced with a pumpkin on a spoon and bounced ghosts on the parachute.  The foggy morning made a perfect backdrop for the fall morning fun.
