New E-mail Address
I now have a new e-mail address this year. Most of the time, it is easiest to contact me by e-mail. The office doesn't call me from the classroom for phone calls, so sometimes I don't get your message immediately. I do try to check e-mail before school, over my lunch break, and after school. My new e-mail is montgomeryb@westelk.us. Don't hesitate to contact me.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town in the AM
Special thanks to Stephanie Goff and Jack Woods for contacting Santa. They arranged for Santa to drop in on the morning class. Due to Santa's busy schedule this time of year, he didn't make it back to the afternoon class, but we had other fun activities instead. Children were in complete awe when Santa walked into our classroom. The children were able to talk with Santa. They later watched a Christmas movie, opened gifts, and enjoyed yummy treats provided by parents. We thank the WEE-PATS group for donating the gifts and parents for bringing in party treats. The children (and staff) enjoyed both parties.
Afternoon Party Fun
We had a fun filled afternoon. We sang Christmas songs. The children watched a movie--with popcorn. This was a real treat since we rarely watch television in preschool. We prefer to stay active during our short amount of time together each day. The children opened gifts that were provided by the WEE-PATS group (thanks so much families). We concluded our day with the class party.

New Reindeer School Graduates
These are the newest classes of reindeer school graduates. They worked hard to complete all of their classes. They all have now received Reindeer Flying Licenses. Now all the children have to do is find Santa and have him give them some magic flying dust. The children had so much fun with all of the different activities. (I apologize for the quality of the pictures. I forgot my camera and the one I borrowed didn't take very good pictures.)
Night the Animals Slept Over
The children brought in their stuffed animals and left them at school over night for a sleep over. The animals had lots of fun as you can see from the following pictures. They left a bit of a mess and the children had to clean up after them the next day. Each class looked at the pictures and wrote a story about the animals' sleep over. The books are in our classroom library. Feel free to read the books if you happen to be in our classroom.

Fall's Falling Leaves
We just started a new unit about fall. The children are enjoying raking and throwing silk leaves in our dramatic play area.
