Tomatoes for Earth Day

The preschool children planted tomato seeds in the spring in their recycled milk cartons.  They made plant picks and put in each tomato plant.   On Earth Day, the children handed out the tomato plants to promote taking care of our planet, to emphasize the importance of planting our own food, and as a community project.  The children handed the plants out to teachers and staff at the West Elk Campus in the morning.  In the afternoon the children took a bus down town and handed out their plants and flyers in the community.
