We're getting buggy

The preschool students spent the last two weeks studying about insects and arachnids.  They learned that insects have three body parts, six legs, and two antennae.  They learned that arachnids have two body parts, eight legs, and no antennae.  They learned that arachnids include spiders, ticks, and scorpions.  The children concluded the unit by designing either an insect or arachnid.  They had to plan what color they would paint it and what body parts they would need.  Some of the children became "quite" creative.
